Services for Juanita Ferrington Adams, of Brookhaven, are 1 1a.m. Monday, July 10, at Brookway Baptist Church with burial in New Sight Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adams, 89, died July 7, 2006, in McComb. She was born in Wisner, La., on Dec. 13, 1916, to Victor Posey Ferrington and Vermelle Blackman Ferrington.
She was a retired teacher for the Brookhaven Public Schools for25 years. She was a charter member of Brookway Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a pianist for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William M.Adams; her son, Victor Raymond Gravelle; and her brother, V.P. Ferrington.
Survivors are her son, William “Bill” M. Adams Jr. and his wife,Sherry, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Leanne Summers and her husband Gordon, of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Dustin Walker, Nicholas Adams, Brendon Adams, Ryan Adams, Rusty Gravelle, Connie Gravelle,all of Brookhaven, and Shan Walker, of Richland; and seven great-grandchildren.
