Phillip William Schleeter, 61, Kokomo, died at 7:56 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in the Emergency Room at Howard Regional Health System. He was born Aug. 19, 1948, in Kokomo, the son of William H. and Ida E. (Patoux) Schleeter. He married Cheryle Hadley Aug. 30, 1969, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kokomo, and she survives.

Phillip was a 1966 graduate of Kokomo High School, and a 1970 graduate of Ball State University, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He retired from Delphi as a supervisor in 2007, after 29 years of employment.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was honored to support the Haiti Mission for St. Patrick Church. He was an avid fan of IU basketball and Notre Dame football.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryle; one daughter, Molly Bell and husband Douglas of Milwaukee, Wis.; one son, Bryan P. Schleeter of Mountainview, Calif.; two grandchildren, Owen Bell and Julia Bell of Milwaukee.
