Charles (26) was married first to Ann Maria Aldrich (26) living in Southampton, Suffolk County [Long Island] for the 1850 Census with son George W. Conley (3).

By 1860 Charles (36) was living in Stamford, Ann passed on 20 December 1859, Ann's final disposition is unknown. Ann was the daughter of James Owen Aldrich (1789 – 1828) # 9684198 and Harmony Howell # 9684200.

Charles had the following children with Ann:
