Jessie was born September 24, 1917 to Oscar and Hazel (O'Brien) Moody in Navasota. After graduating high school, she earned a bachelors degree and taught school for several years. Some may be surprised to know that she loved to travel and traveled the world over many times. She also loved to read and was an avid Bridge player. Mrs. Brown was also a member of the Daughters of the American Republic.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Bob Bosse of Richards; sister, Lorraine McLain of Willis; brother, Dwight Moody of Navasota; grandchildren, Justin Bosse and wife, Carla, Scott Bosse and wife, Kim, Mauri Pasket and husband, Jeff, Jennifer Zbylot and husband, Tim, and Jimmy Brown; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Scott Brown, Jr.; sons, Scotty and Jimmy Brown; two brothers and five sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Bosse, Scott Bosse, Billy Binford, Mike McLain, David Bingham, and Tommy Gergeni.
For those that desire, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or the First United Methodist Churches of Anderson and Navasota.
