David W. Moon an old time printer, died Tuesday at his home, 409 Millard. He was a charter member of the Odd Fellows and a life member of Masonic Lodge 154. He was born March 13, 1847, in Lapeer county, married Miss Mary A. Wilson May 7, 1879, in Flint, and came to Saginaw in 1888. He learned the printing trade as a youth and worked for 19 years for the Wolverine Citizen in Flint. In Saginaw he worked for the Courier-Herald, Jones & McCall company and several other printing firms. He was a member of Jefferson Avenue Methodist church and Valley City Typographical Union. Mrs. Moon died Aug. 10, 1931. Mr. Moon , leaves a daughter, Mrs. William E. Foale, with whom he made his home; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Hart of Grand Rapids, and two grandchildren, Marjorie and Edward Foale of Saginaw. The funeral will take place at 3:30 p.m., Thursday at the Case Chapel, Rev. Wilbur D. Grose will officiate and entombment will be in Oakland mausoleum.
