A native of Vermillion County, Mr. Dirbas retired in 1973 from Norfolk & Western Railways after 32 years of service.
Mr. Dirbas was a veteran of World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and Eagles, plus the American Legion. Veteran of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of Police.
He was born March 12, 1919, to Nicholas T. and Jane Elizabeth (Markovitch) Dirbas.
Survivors include two sons, Tom of rt. 3 Frankfort, and Tim of Mulberry; and a daughter, Elizabeth Morris of Chesterfield.
Mr. Dirbas' wife, Irma, and a brother, Joe, preceded him in death.
Entombment will be in Green Lawn Mausoleum.
