OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - Saturday, May 14, 1988
Donald M. Story, 81, R.R. 5, Wabash, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday at Wabash County Hospital after a six-month illness.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1906, in Wabash to Caleb Manson and Dorothy Lee (Harding) Story. He married Harriet Symons on April 21, 1946, in Chicago. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Delbert H. Story, Lakeside, Calif., and James William Story, R. R. 5; three daughters, Mrs. William (Jean) Rosengrin, Chicago, Mrs. Terry (Myrna Lee) Mann, Green Valley Lake, Calif., and Mrs Edward (Judith Ann) White, Chesapeake, Va., and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one half brother, one sister and one half sister.
Mr. Story lived in Wabash County all his life except from 1939 to 1949 when he lived in Chicago. He was a self-employed plumber for Story Plumbing, retiring in 1970. He was a member of the Auburn Park, Ill., Masonic Lodge No. 789, receiving a life membership from the organization on Oct. 23, 1979, his 50th anniversary with the group. He was a member of the Wabash Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 90.
Services will be Monday morning at the Garrett and Sloane Colonial Mortuary with the Rev. Stanley Lightfoot officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery.
