At a meeting of the Douglas County Bar, Held in the office of E.H. Farnsowrth, on November 10, 1896. The following resolutions were reported by a committee that had been previously appointed and unanmously (sic) adopted;
Whereas, the death of Dal Hartin has removed from among as one who, although born of poor parents and starting in life without money or education, by industry, preserverance, painstaking care, honest of purpose, and a determination to win, arose to a place in life both as a citizen, officer, and attorney that commands the respect of all good citizens.
Therefore, be it resolved, that in the death of Dolphin Hartin, this Bar has lost one of its most trustworthy, consciencous and industrious members, the community one of its best citizens, the family a strong support.
Resolved, that this Bar extend to the bereaved family our sincere sympathy and condolence in this their hour of deep sorrow.
Resolved, that copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of the circuit court of Douglas County, and that they be published in the Record and Herald of this city and a copy be furnished the family of the deceased. Respectfully submitted,
ASbery Burkhead.
