Valparaiso -- Maybelle C. Craig, 87, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2000 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso. She was born in Wheatfield, IN on October 7, 1912, the daughter of Samuel and Ida (Smith) Cavinder. On December 19, 1936 she married Leon Craig who passed away February 12, 1998. Surviving are one daughter, Dixie (Frank) Collins of Chesterton; three grandchildren: Mark Collins of Chesterton, Tammy Richey of Valparaiso and Michael Collins of Chesterton and four great-grandchildren. Eleven brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Maybelle attended the Valparaiso and Hebron Assembly of God Church.
Services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2000, 10 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso, IN, with Rev. Ed Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
