Reinhold August William Bublitz was born in Mitchell County, Iowa, on February 3, 1880, the son of the late Herman and Augusta (Barkenhagen) Bublitz. He was baptized March 14, 1880 and confirmed March 26, 1893 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church.
On November 7, 1907 he was united in marriage with Martha Diedrich. Four sons and one daughter were born to this union. They made their home on his farm for 37 years. In November 1944 they moved to St. Ansgar.
Mr. and Mrs. Bublitz celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in November 1957.
Mr. Bublitz is survived by his wife, Martha; four sons, Harven and Arnold of St. Ansgar, Wilmer of Grafton and Lawrence at home; one daughter, Eleanor (Mrs. Henry) Boerjan of St. Ansgar; also 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three sisters, Martha of St. Ansgar, Ella of California and Alvina of North Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters and one grandchild.
Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Reverend Wuerffel in charge of the committal services.
