After completeing her work in public schools in Rapid City she attended Monticello Seminary, Vassar College and did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin.
At the time of her death she was an instructor in the radio department of the air corps school at Madison.
She married Robert Burton July 12 1910 in Rapid City SD, she was 24 and he was 26.
Surviving are two sons Frank W Burton of Madison, and Lt Bernard Burton stationed at FT Sheridan. Two grandchildren, Helen Brown Burton, Robert Mahon Burton both of Madison, a sister Mrs FM Pearce(Fannie) of Ballinger TX and a Brother Wellington G Brown of Chicago IL.
Funeral services were held at Rockford ILL July 31, 1943 and burial was at Carlinville IL/
Her parents Charles and Adella Gore Brown were in Rapid city in 1890, with children Fannie who was 5, Helen who was 4 yrs old and Wellington who was probably very young, a year or less old.
