MONGER FUNERAL HELD AT ELKTON

Farmer and Merchant Laid To Rest In Elk Run Cemetery

Funeral services for W. T. Monger, 68, who died Wednesday night at 11:15 at his home near Elkton, after a long illness, were held from the Elkton United Brethren Church. Burial was in Elk Run Cemetery.

Mr. Monger was a well known resident of the Elkton section, and was a prosperous farmer and merchant. He was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him.

The lovely floral tributes which were carried by the nieces and grandchildren, attested to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.

Mr. Monger was a son of the late George W. Monger and Mary Dearing Monger.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Kerlin Monger; three sons, Harry of Elkton, Lester and Herman of Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Ringle, of Shenandoah City, Mrs. Lawrence Manning, of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Maudie McDaniel, of Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Ben Dadisman, of Washington; two brothers, E. T. Monger and Clark Monger, of Elkton; two sisters, Mrs. W. A. Monger and Mrs. Hinton Armentrout, of Harrisonburg; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
