Donald Woolsey Hall, 88, passed away peacefully at his home on December 9, 2009.

Donald was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Ethel Woolsey Hall. He grew up in Utah and California and was the eldest of four brothers.

He married Karen LaVon Luce on June 4, 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple. Don loved classical music and played the cello in symphonies in Los Angeles, CA and Murray, Utah. He worked with heavy equipment for over forty years. There was never a job too big for Don.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Don devoted the last eight years of his life to genealogy and family history work.

Don is survived by his eternal partner Karen and their two children: Wendy Doose (Gary) and Michael Hall (Jen), three children from previous marriages, Donald Jr., Kathy, and Mark, his brother Ken as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing held on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Riverview Stake Center, 12100 South 700 West, Draper, UT. The funeral will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South. Friends and family can call from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will be in Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
