Glennie F. Cannon

Glennie Freda Cannon, 90, of Plantation Circle, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Conway Hospital after an illness.

She was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Glennie Willard and Jennie Cook Cannon.

She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church and the Women of the Church. She retired from Conway National Bank after 30 years.

Survivors include a sister, Reba Beale of Conway; a brother, Edgar Elbert Cannon and his wife, Jessie, of Mount Pleasant; four nieces, Sue Nelle Wade and her husband, Charlie, and Nettie B. Long and her husband, Franklin, all of Conway, Ann C. Robertson and her husband, Jim, of Herndon, Va., and Linda S. Cannon of Seattle; four nephews, James A. Bryan and his wife, Sophie, of Indialantic, Fla., Alex C. Beale of Conway, Charles Cannon and his wife, Dolly, of Isle of Palms, and Glen Scott Cannon and his wife, Ginger, of Waverly, Iowa; 18 great-nieces and nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Nettie Cannon Bryan; three brothers, Ernest R. Cannon, Lloyd W. Cannon and James F. Cannon; a niece, Jennie B. Marshall; and a nephew, Richard E. Cannon.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight at her home on Plantation Circle.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westminister Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Martin L. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Westminister Presbyterian Church Music Fund, 1619 Park View Drive, Conway, SC 29526.
