Funeral services for George E. Bingham, 89, of Spurger, Texas were held February 12, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Beech Creek Church near Spurger with Bro. Robert McClelland and Bro. Steve Benthal officiating. Burial was held at Beech Creek Cemetery. Visitation was held February 11, 1998 from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Bingham died February 10, 1998 at Holiday Pines Manor Nursing Home in Woodville. A lifelong resident of Spurger, he was a retired farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Bingham in 1990.
Survivors include his sons, James and wife, Betty Bingham of Spurger, and Richard Bingham of Houston.; sister, Eva Swearingen of Woodville, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lewis Ferguson, James P. Scott, Lee Bingham, Frank Poole, Kent Bingham and Bob Swearingen.
Services were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
