Frank Carver, 90, of Mount Pleasant died Sunday at Henry County Health Center. He was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Church of the Open Bible with Rev. Ronald Lambert officiating. Interment will be in Lambirth Cemetery under the direction of Weir Funeral Home. He was born on August 6, 1900 in Rome, the son of George and Ida Mae (Blythe) Carver. He married Delpha Berniece Smith on February 12, 1927 in Lockridge. She preceded him in death on September 22, 1982. Also preceding him in death were his parents; his sons, Donald Mervin Carver, Francis Carver, Kenneth Faye Carver, and Ronald Ervin Carver; his brothers, Charles Carver, George Emil Carver, and Pearl Clifford Carver; and his sisters, Elizabeth Sempf, Jessie Ford, Mary Davis, and Rose Alice Smith. Survivors include his son, Arnold Leroy "Art" Carver of Mount Pleasant; his daughters, Beatrice Evelyn Hummell of Mount Pleasant, Barbara Pauline Cutts of Hamilton, Illinois, and Bertha Lucille Thrasher and Elizabeth Marie Koch, both of Spokane, Washington; his sister, Ida Mae Eckwall of Keosauqua; twenty four grandchildren; and thirty three great-grandchildren.
