Marion R. Hester, age 50, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, died at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2006, at his home.

Mr. Hester, son of Howard and Ona Lerene McGehee Hester, was born on July 24. 1956, in Pomona, California. Mr. Hester was a 1974 graduate of Southwest High School in Washburn and was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. He was a machinist with Bekaert Corporation in Rogers, Arkansas, and was a hunting and fishing enthusiast. Mr. Hester attended the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ, Springdale, Arkansas.

He married Karen E. Brown on May 18, 1974, in Washburn, Missouri. She survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Matthew Hester and his fiancé, Angie, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; one daughter,Vanessa Logan Minarik, and her husband, Scott, of Rogers, Arkansas; two brothers, Wyatt Hester and his wife, Karen, of Washburn, Missouri, and Adam Hester and his wife, Donna, of Abilene, Texas; one sister, Debbie West, and her husband, Kenneth, of Washburn, Missouri; seven grandchildren; his father-in-law, Claude A. Brown, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri, with Ken Dobbs, C. A. Brown, Minister, and Kenneth West, Minister, officiating. Burial will be at the Washburn Prairie Cemetery, with military honors conducted at the grave by the U.S.M.C. Color Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 16th at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hester, Scott Minarik, Dakota Logan, Jerry Ruark, Jack Brown, and Steve Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Beck and Don Brace.

Memorials may be made to the Bekaert Relief Fund in Rogers, Arkansas, or the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.
