Virginia Lee W. Davis, age 81, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Davis was born on November 9, 1933, in Nicholls, GA to the late Jeff Williams and Maybell Anderson Williams. Survivors include her three daughters, Carla (Darrell) Porter of Nicholls, GA, Dana (Greg) Hobbs of Alapaha, GA, and Tarci (Michael) Smith of Nicholls, GA; two brothers, Thomas Williams of Valdosta, GA and Dan Williams of Dallas, GA; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Davis, and three brothers, Shafter Williams, Chester Williams, and Shelton Williams. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilsonville Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Charles Brown, Rev. Fred Morgan, and Betty Walker officiating. Music is furnished for the service by Dana Hobbs “Look For Me” and “Amazing Grace”. Active pallbearers are Mike Carter, Daryl Davis, Brian Davis, Mark Walker, David Davis, and Lonny Whitley. Interment will follow at Roxie Mae Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
