Paul Joseph Lizotte, 77, passed away Feb. 23, 2009, at Augusta Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
He was born on Aug. 20, 1931, in Augusta, the son of Alfred and Elphage (Michaud) Lizotte.
Paul attended Augusta schools and served honorably in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He married M. Shirley Kane in 1954. Paul was a third-generation stone mason and earned his apprenticeship while working for Stewart and Williams Construction Company.
Paul was predeceased by his parents; and his sister, Louise (Lizotte) Madden.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years; son Ken and his wife, Christine, and their daughters, Heather Parenteau and Megan Gould, of Raymond; daughter Judy Lizotte and her fiancé, Ben Moore, of Augusta; niece Susan Billings and special great-niece Nancy Billings, of Nobleboro; nephew Steve Madden, of Boothbay Harbor; and many other nieces and nephews.
Spring burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manchester. (Kennebec Journal 2/26/2009)
