MOTHER OF LOCAL MAN, 78, EXPIRES
Mrs. Amelia Conte Acierno, 78, of Crosby, mother of John A. Acierno of Kane R.D., succumbed yesterday at Port Allegany Hospital following a brief illness. She was a former Hazelhurst resident and an employe at the McKean County Home at Smethport. She was married in Hazelhurst to Carmen Acierno, who preceded her in death on June 8 this year. Survivors include two sons, John of Kane and Michael F. of Emporium; three daughters, Mrs. Alex Cunningham of Smethport, Mrs. William Whiting of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Mrs. Eugene Valeria of Bradenton Beach, Fla. Friends are being received at the Fry Funeral Home at Smethport after noon today, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Elizabeth's Church. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Smethport.
