Daniel J. Phillippi died at his home by Casselman on Saturday, May 1, 1886, age 63? years, 3 months and 25 days. Mr Phillippi was a member of the U. B. Church for 26 years and stood well in his .....as a Christian gentleman and citizen. He was elected county commissioner a few years ago, which position he filled with acceptability. His ----- was calm and peaceful. Amond his last words were "I am ----- in faith and prayer." Of the family nine children are living and two? dead. Five of his ----- were a his funeral Two were in Kansas, one in Nebraska and one in Dakota. His sorrowing companion has the sympathy of the entire -------. Rev. Parabling? preached the funeral sermon at Kingwood where a large ------ of people followed him to his grave.
