Funeral services were held in Seattle, Washington for Lonnie E. Parr, a native of Cuero, Texas who died April 21 in a Seattle hospital.

He was born June 29, 1924 in De Witt County, to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Maggie (Casey) Parr.

Mr. Parr was a member of the U.S. Navy and spent most of his adult life in Seattle. He married the former Maxine Plattner in 1945.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, and four grandsons.

Also left to mourn his passing are three sisters; Lottie (Meitzen), Helen (Hoehne), and Mary (Michalek); three brothers, Irl and Lesley of Cuero, and Oscar of Yoakum.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother (Floyd), who died in infancy.
