HEADLEY, James J., 80, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away on November 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his son, James Jeffrey Headley. Also preceding him were his parents, Oscar and Etta Headley; brothers, Alfred, Louis, Robert and Earl Headley; and sisters, Helen, Alice and Joyce Headley, and Lena VanLandingham. He is survived by his wife, Madlynn W. Headley; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Douglas Koch; daughter-in-law, Sherry M. Headley; brother, Edward Headley and wife, Hazel; and sisters, Marie Cooke, Millissie June Headley, Nellie Mae Jewell and Mary Williams; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, cherished in-laws and treasured friends. Jimmy was retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Va. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran and a member of VFW Post 9808. A memorial service will be held on December 12, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home in Mechanicsville, Va. Inurnment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park in Hanover, Va. The family will receive visitors following the inurnment on the Veranda at Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy's name may be made to VFW Post 9808, 7168 Flag Ln., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111, or H&N Clancy Assisted Living Home, LLC, 4617 W. Moon Blossum Ln., Phoenix, Ariz. 85083.
