Mrs. Elton Sisk Dies at Wellsville Home.

Mrs. Sarah Cornelia (Bibb) Sisk, widow of the late Elton S. Sisk, died at her home in Wellsville last Saturday, Feb. 7, 1931, aged 71 years, 7 months and 8 days. She had been in poor health for several months.
Mrs. Sisk was a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. M. T. Bibb, her father being one of the pioneer Baptist ministers of this section of Missouri. She was born in Callaway county, June 30, 1859. She was married to Elton S. Sisk April 16, 1885, and they made their home in Wellsville, where Mr. Sisk was engaged in the jewelry business. He died in 1920.
She was a faithful member of the Baptist church since childhood, and taught a large Sunday School class for forty years. When the new Wellsville Baptist church built the class installed a memorial window in her honor.
She leaves to mourn her departure one sister and four brothers - Mrs. D. O. Hudson of Columbia, Rev. M. L. Bibb, Moberly, Mahlon A. Bibb, St. Louis, C. W. Bibb of Camden, Maine, and J. B. Bibb of Mohler, Idaho, and a number of nieces and nephews. B. M. Sisk of this city is a brother-in-law.
Funeral services were held at the Wellsville Baptist church last Sunday aftternoon and burial was in the cemetery there.

Funeral Services Held At Baptist Church Here Sunday.

Wellsville lost one of its loyal and highly respected citizens when Mrs. E. S. Sisk passed away Saturday noon, February 7, at her home here. She had been in ill health for the past several months.
Sarah Cornelia Bibb was born on June 30, 1859, in Callaway county. She was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. M. T. Bibb, her father being a pioneer Baptist minister in this section of Missouri. She was converted in Danville and was baptized in Loutre by her father in 1872.
She was united in marriage to Elton S. Sisk on April 16th, 1885. Mr. Sisk, who was a jeweler in Wellsville for nearly a quarter of a century, died on January 28, 1920. Since his death Mrs. Sisk has continued to make her home in their residence here.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. D. O. Hudson of Columbia; four brothers, Rev. M. L. Bibb of Moberly, Malon A. Bibb of St. Louis, C. W. Bibb of Camden, Maine, and J. B. Bibb of Mohler, Idaho, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Wellsville Sunday aftternoon, conducted by Rev. D. A. Saunders. The body was laid to rest in tthe Wellsville city cemetery.
Mrs. Sisk has lived a beautiful Christian life and was always a friiend to all. She taught a Sunday school class at the Baptist church from 1908 to 1931 and the class placed a memorial window to her honor in the new Baptist church. Several members of this class have been her pupils since early childhood.
