Former longtime local resident Claudia Blanch Ball, 91, of Eugene died Nov. 29, 2009.

She was born March 18, 1918, in Stanley, Wis., to Claude and Martha (Kelly) Edwards.

On March 21, 1942, she married Everett Ball in Olympia.

Claudia lived in Longview from 1946 to 2007. She and her husband owned Orchid Cleaners for 25 years. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Lady Elks and St. John's Hospital Guild.

Claudia is survived by two daughters, Pam Warner of Centralia and Cheri Brokaw of Eugene; a sister, Carole Marshall of Winlock; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, J.D. Edwards.

No service will be held. She will be laid to rest at Longview Memorial Park.
