A native of Tyler County, he was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include two sons, Colt Randall Bumstead and Clayton Loy Bumstead, both of Doucette; his father, Billy Durwood Bumstead of Woodville; his mother, Faye Bumstead of Woodville; a sister, Angela Gaynelle Bumstead; a brother, Jerry Carlton Bumstead; two step-sisters, Regina Lee Parham and Rhonda Jean Parham, all of Woodville; two grandmothers, Minnie Bumstead of Warren and Floy Lilley of Woodville.
Serving as pallbearers were Patrick Voth, Darion Pate, Jerry Bumstead, Richard Mitcham, Joey Pate, and Wayne Cruse.
He is also survived by many friends in this area and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
