Hettie Mae Anderson, 99, of Woodville, passed away, Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville, Texas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Campground Cemetery. Officiating will be her grandson, Jimmy Tucker. Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Tucker, Darrell Tucker, Craig Hoskins, Randy Speed, Jeremy Reynolds, and Jason Reynolds.

Hettie Mae was born February 19, 1920 to Matthew & Emma Nantz Owens in Colmesneil, Texas. She was a former resident of DeRidder, LA but had lived in Tyler County for the past 62 years and was a member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook that loved to share her meals with her family whom she dearly loved. She will always be remembered for her “Nannie kisses”.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. L.C. Allen and Henry Carl Anderson; parents, Matthew & Emma Owens; brothers, Jim Owens, Buddy Owens, Lester Owens, and Earl Owens; sisters, Irene Belt, Bessie Freeman, Frankie Reid, and Bobbie Warden; and son-in-law, Johnny Tucker.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Tucker of Woodville; sister, Pauline Ewings of Beaumont; grandchildren, Jimmy Tucker & wife, Patti and Jackie Tucker & wife, Kristin all of Woodville; Sherlyn Speed & husband, Randy of Beaumont; great grandchildren, Morgan Hoskins & husband, Craig, Drew Tucker & wife, Michelle, Darrell Tucker, Braxton Tucker, Jason Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds & wife, Jeanie, and Jessica Williams & husband, Jason; 14 great-great grandchildren; and 9 great-great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Dogwood Hills Baptist Church.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
