Trapper Creek resident Michael P. Shurtliff, 51, died July 28, 1997, at his home. A graveside service for Mr. Shurtliff was at the Palmer Pioneer Cemetery in Palmer. Bishop Bill Collins of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiated.
Mr. Shurtliff was born on April 29, 1946, in Portland, Ore., to Ray O. and Burnetta Watson Shurtliff. He was a cook by trade. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, George and Connie of Nevada; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Bernadell Nelson of Utah; and many other relatives and friends. Arrangements were made by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
