Arthur Z Dunn, 94, lifelong Marshall county resident, died Wednesday, November 11 at Marshalltown Area Community Hospital after a short illness.

Services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St Anthony with the Rev Father Thomas Purtell officiating.

Music was provided by the Sacred Heart Church Choir with Russ Howe as soloist. Burial followed at St John's Cemetery north of St Anthony.

Mr Dunn was born September 16, 1887, at the family farm near Clemons, the 10th child of James Edward and Frances Gilmore Dunn, who settled here from Ireland in the 1850's. He spent his early life there and later farmed the family land until retirement.

He was married to Nellie Mary Lawler of New Providence February 21, 1911. She preceded him in death February, 1973. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Francis Leo Dunn.

Surviving are one son, Leo Dunn, Clemons, three daughters, Jerene (Mrs Robert) Barlow, Iowa Falls; Opal (Mrs Ronald) Grandfield, Des Moines and Rita (Mrs Ralph) Howe, Clemons, 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mr Dunn was a member of Scared Heart Catholic Church and was active in many area organizations. He served as vice president of the Iowa Falls State Bank from 1953 until his death.

A Bible Vigil was held Friday at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing.
