Grayson - June 20 - The body of Pfc. Arnold Lee Lucas, 24, year old marine who was killed by a train while home on furlough from Paris Island, S. C. was buried in family cemetery under the direction of Henderson funeral home of Olive Hill.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lucas of Denton near here. He was killed while walking on the C&O tracks about four miles from his home.

Corner Leslie Henderson said he was struck by a C&O freight train, which carried the body about 75 feet, a C&O passenger train later struck the body and carried it 75 feet further, the corner said.

He leaves his parents, five sisters, Mrs. Gusta Waugh of Jerial, Mrs. William Fannin of Decota, W. Va., Mrs. Elizabeth Caldwell of of Columbus, Mrs. Belva Glancy of Buchanan, and Miss Esther Lucas at home, and seven brothers, Alden of Sandyville, W. Va., Elmer of Carbon W.Va., Raymond of Kayford W. Va., Ephrain of Hitchins, Everette of Grayson, Nathaniel and Kenneth at home.
