Mrs. Hattie York, 77, who lived on Minnie street, died Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Sincroft Nursing home, North Manchester, following an illness of a year. She had been a resident of Wabash for 36 years. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church. The decedent was born on Sep. 16, 1871, in Royal Center the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Button. She was married on April 1, 1894, in Logansport to Arthur M. York who survoves.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Correll, Red Ford, Mo., a son, Everett York, Fort Wayne, 20 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Hoover-Miner Funeral home with the Rev. V.E. Vardaman, officiating. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
