Service for Dovie O'Dell Rowden, 83, of Azle, was to be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Jim Herring was to officiate. Burial was to follow at West Bridgeport Cemetery.
Rowden died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, in Fort Worth.
Born June 18, 1922, in Bridgeport to William and Beulah Whitsell O'Dell, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Rowden; a brother, Earnest O'Dell; a sister, Janis Carlino; and a daughter-in-law, Arline Rowden.
She is survived by a son, Gerald Rowden; two brothers, Alva O'Dell of Alvord and Leon O'Dell of Bridgeport; five sisters, Anlois Knox of Dallas, Emmie Gaskel of Fort Worth, Nancy Romines of Bridgeport, Rozell Loper of Gilmer and Jo Ann Goodreau of Springtown; four grandchildren, Lee Ann Marshall, Brad Rowden, Brandon Rowden and Brent Rowden, all of Azle; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Lee, Shayna Lee and Trent Rowden; and two great-great grandchildren, Caden Lee and Hannah Dockery.
Pallbearers were Rocky Loper, Ricky Martin, David O'Dell, Ricky O'Dell, Mike Knox and Logan Tierce.
