Mrs. Aimee Dantzler Smith, 81, of Orangeburg, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Ryan Davis officiating.
Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Dorchester County, the daughter of the late John Henry Dantzler and the late Annie Dukes Dantzler. She was the widow of David Clyde Smith and was preceded in death by a brother, John Lewis Dantzler.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. H.L. (Peggy) Proctor of Canaan community and Mrs. Henry (Anita) Burnett of Orangeburg; three grandchildren, Mark (Pam) Sheetz of the Canaan community, John (Rachel) Bates and Joseph (Jodi) Bates, both of Orangeburg; six great-grandchildren, Chandler Sheetz, Kayse Sheetz, Dillon Sheetz, Chris Bates, Matthew Bates and Justin Bates; a sister, Nancy D. Finn of Columbus, Miss.; and a sister-in-law, Verda Dantzler of Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the residence of Anita Burnett, Orangeburg, and the funeral home.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.
