Mary E. Licata, 91, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday at St. Camillus. Mary was a native and life resident of Syracuse who retired from General Electric after over 30 years of employment. She was a communicant of St. Daniel Church. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, in 1978 and by her sister, Marceline VanVelde. Survivors include her sisters, Irene VanVelde and Lucy Martz, both of Geneva, New York, and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
