Daly C. Cochran 88 died at the residence of his son, Howard Cochran 3395 Roff Ave. Saturday night. Mr. Cochran lived at 181 Gardner Street.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Cochran was born in Monroe County but had lived most of his life in Macon. He was a Baptist and a retired textile worker.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Dokes of Macon; four sons, John H. Cochran, Herman D. Cochran, Howard Cochran, all of Macon; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at 3395 Roff Ave., the residence of his son.

He was born in Monroe County, Georgia; however, his family lived and worked in Macon for most of his first decades.
He married Queen Victoria McDaniel on 31 January 1903 in Milledgeville, Georgia. He had two children with her: Elizabeth Ellen Cochran and Mattie Evelyn Cochran. On 3 March 1912 he married Annie Stewart. He was still married to Queen Victoria McDaniel at that time. In April 1912 he was charged with bigamy. By 1915 he and his second family had moved to Slocumb, Alabama. By 1918 they had moved to Lagrange, Troup County, Georgia. They stayed there till the late 1930s. By the 1940s they had moved back to Macon.
