Austin, Oct. 31. -- John E. Alley and Miss Flora Sawyer of Goville, this county, were united in marriage last night at the residence of the bride's parents. Dr. W. T. McDonald performed the ceremony.

Ex-Austinite Dies In San Antonio
John Ellwood Alley, 68-year-old retired street railway worker and former Austin resident, died at his home in San Antonio Wednesday at 11:40 a.m. following a brief illness of pneumonia.
He was a brother of E. A. (Eck) Alley of Austin. Also surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florence Alley, one son and four daughters; and two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Newton of San Antonio and Mrs. W. D. Keniston of St. Louis, Mo., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins residing in Austin.
Funeral services will be held in San Antonio next Monday at 3 p.m.
