Illness Is Fatal To F. E. Arnold

Fred E. Arnold, 518 South Barker, a retired monument company operator, died Tuesday night in Park View hospital following a three weeks illness.

Mr. Arnold was born Aug. 7, 1884, at Winfield, Kan., and came to El Reno in 1907. He had operated the F. E. Arnold Monument company here from 1909 until his retirement in 1951.

He was a member of the First Christain church, India Temple of the Shrine, the Consistory at Guthrie, El Reno lodge No. 50, AF and AM, and previously had been a member of the El Reno Country club, the Elks lodge and the Knights Templar.

Survivors include his wife, Bess, of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Costin, McNeil Islandm Wash., and Mrs. Jack Kitzmiller, Oklahoma City; three sons, Perry Arnold, 1120 South Barker, Don Arnold, 921 South Hoff, and Robert L. Arnold, 1008 South Barker; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert J. Evans, 600 South Macomb; three sisters, Mrs. Zella Reedy, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Luman AIberty, Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Faye Sentel, Wichita, Kan., a brotherm George Arnold, Little Rock, Ark ., 14t grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the First Christian church. Burial will be in the El Reno cemetery under direction of the Wilson funeral home. The body will lie in state until 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wilson funeral home. The Rev. L. B. Saltzgivier will officiate at the services.
