Mrs. Bonnie Louise Stanford, 93, of Southwest City, Missouri departed this life on Monday morning, November 16, 2009 in Albany, Georgia.

Bonnie entered this life September 26, 1916 in McAlester, Oklahoma born to the union of the late Samuel McCoy and Nellie (Dudley) Bryant. She was raised in McAlester, Oklahoma and was a 1934 graduate of McAlester High School. She then attended Hersheys Business College also located in McAlester. On May 5, 1934 in Wilburton, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Leland Cosby Stanford and together they shared sixty-six years before his passing in July of 2000. She was employed by Bariod Division National Lead Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an executive secretary for over twenty-seven years. She and Leland moved to Southwest City, Missouri in 1992. She loved to travel, was an avid collector of cookbooks and enjoyed spending her summers in Crystal, Colorado at her cabin. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church in Southwest City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland Stanford; and six siblings.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Stanford are 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester, Oklahoma.
