Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday for Thomas James Franklin, 73, a retired Shingle Springs farmer, who die last Friday in a local hospital. He was a native of Missouri.
Mt. Franklin was the husband of Mrs. Mamie Lisetta Franklin of Shingle Springs. He is also survived by his daughter, Mamie L. and son-in-law, Ford Jones of El Dorado, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of Rowland Earl and Thelma Jean Jones of El Dorado, and the brother of Mrs. Ethel Bell of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and Mrs. Ida Williams Lee of Summit, Mo.
The services were held in Memory Chapel, with the Reverand Martin Recio of El Dorado officiating. Burial was in the Westwood Hills Memorial Park.
