St. George, UT - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister, Evva Marie Weatherston Garrett of St. George, passed away from injuries suffered in a fall in San Diego, California, November 28, 2009, while visiting family. She was surrounded by her children at the time of her death.

She was born March 8, 1921, in Sugar City, Idaho, to Heber and Mabel Weatherston. Evva grew up in Plano, Idaho, graduating from Madison High School in Rexburg. She moved to San Diego and met her future husband, Jack Garrett. They were married July 19, 1941. Their marriage was solemnized in 1958 in the Los Angeles Temple.

Jack preceded her in death after 61 years of married in 2003. They were the parents of three children: Christie Thomas (Keith) of Medford, Oregon; Jack (Lorrene) of San Diego; and Cliff (Jean) of St. George.
