Albert Franklin was the son of James Robert and Sarah "Fannie" Frances Linger. He was first married to Ellen Margaret "Maggie" Howes and after her death he married Ruth Ondlea Sipes. He had eight children with Maggie. They were Iva Frances, Mabel B., Blanche A., Goldie Lee, Dessie Pearl, Roscoe Orval, Robert H. and Pauline Marie Linger. There is some confusion as to the date of his birth. The birth register record gives September 7, 1878 but his marker says 1874 and the information the nursing home he was in at the time of his death provided was December 7, 1874. I tend to go with the actual birth register for the year 1878.
