He professed his faith in Christ and joined the Missionary Baptist church at Antioch many years ago. He later moved his membership to the church at Dogwood where he was a member at death. He had lived a faithful and devoted Christian life. Besides the eight children, he is survived by the widow and 34 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. J.J. Nelson of Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Although ill for six years he bore his ailment patiently. The remains were laid to rest in the White Oak cemetery on Dec. 17, with services conducted by Rev. John Pruitt.
