Carl McKnight

Carl McKnight, 62, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.
Mr. McKnight died Wednesday in a Sherman hospital. Born in Clark County, Arkansas on Oct 29, 1909, he came to Texas as a child. He married Marie Miller on May 11, 1939 in Durant, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and served on the Tioga City Council. He was a retired civilian employee of Perrin Air Force Base.
Survivors include his wife of Tioga: his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac A. McKnight of Tioga: four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Aaron of Carrollton, Mrs. Mary Wells of Tioga and Mrs. Nancy Huschke of Pilot Point and Mrs. Carlene Smith of Sherman: four brothers, Huelton McKnight and Clete McKnight, both of Tioga, Thurman McKnight of Denton and William B. McKnight, of Hutchins: two sisters; Mrs. Hazel Mulder and Mrs. Clara Watson, both of Sherman; and six grandchildren.
Burial will be at Tioga Cemetery. Beck Funeral Home of Pilot Point is in charge of arrangements.
