James A Craig married Clearcy Williams on 3 Oct 1876 in Union County, Tennessee. They were married by James Craig's brother-in-law, Justice of the Peace Franklin P Miller. James A Craig and Clearcy Williams had 3 children as follows: James "Jim" Craig, Franklin "Frank" Craig, and an unknown child that I belive was a daughter who died at birth.
The 1900 census lists his date of birth as 1830, and his death certificate indicates an Unknown date of birth.
Sometime between 1880 and 1900 James and Clearcy became estranged and lived apart. James Craig lived with his mother (Lucinda) and brother-in-law (Franklin P Miller) as well as his niece Rutha Miller until his death in 1916. Clearcy lived with her boys, Jim and Frank, who became Coal Miners in Campbell County, Tennessee and Whitely County, Kentucky.
I believe that James A. Craig had senility issues and was unable to take care of himself as he became older and this could be what pushed him and his wife, Clearcy, apart.

"Dump" Craig. James' middle name may have been Ambrose or Alvis as these names were popular names in the Craig family.
