J.W. "Bill" Adams served in the Navy during World War II and returned to Billings and worked in the area. He operated Bill's Body Shop and the Squeeze Drive Inn, in Lovell Wyo. In 1970, he moved to St. Anthony,Idaho and worked at Fremont General Hospital, retiring in 1985 and moving to Townsend in 1986

He was a member of the Jaycees, American Legion and the V.F.W.

He enjoyed bowling, coaching little league, traveling, cars, hunting and visiting.

Mr. Adams, 62 of Townsend died Saturday in Billings Deaconess Medcal Center of a stroke.

He was born in Denver, a son of John and Elizabeth Adams. He was educated in Denver and atteneded Billings Senior High in 1942. On Sep. 10 1945, he married Winifred R. Avery in Billings.

Sourvivors include his wife; Three daughters, Judy Clark of Ralston, Wyo., Linda Miller of Cowley, Wyo., and Kristine Lucus of Powell, Wyo.; a son, John E Adams of St. Anthony; a half sister, Helen Adams of 4020 State Ave.; Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Smith Downtown Chapel. Cremation will follow the service.
