Helen Lydia (Foss) Grenier, 96, of Greybull, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.
Helen was born on Sept. 24, 1913, in Weston, Maine, to John and Lena (Hooper) Foss.
Helen married Lee C. Grenier on May 2, 1931, in Ellsworth, Maine. They lived in six states before settling in Wyoming in June of 1951.
Helen worked in clerical positions at Tri-County Telephone and Big Horn Rural Electric, both located in Basin, before retiring in 1978.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, playing bridge and tending to her rose gardens.
Helen was a member of P.E.O., Fern Chapter #31 OES in Greybull, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Basin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; her parents; two brothers, Colby and John; two sisters, June and Frieda, and three sons, Arthur, David and infant Kenneth.
Helen is survived by her son, Peter Lee Grenier of Florida; her daughters, Lee Ann (Seth) Parker of Evanston and Lori (Pete) Garcia of Lovell; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A viewing and funeral services were held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Monday, Nov. 23, with Bishop Bruce Caldwell officiating. Burial was to follow at the Donald J. Ruhl Memorial Cemetery in Greybull.
Atwood Family Funeral Directors, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
The Helen Grenier Memorial has been established at Big Horn Federal Savings Bank, P.O. Box 471, Greybull, WY, 82426 and will be awarded annually to a Greybull graduate who will major in engineering.
