Verne Alvin Dahlgren, 90, of Plymouth, MN, formerly of Hallock, MN, died on November 28th at North Memorial Hospice Residence in Brooklyn Center, MN.

He was born in Kittson County on July 15, 1919 to Garfield and Jennie Dahlgren. He attended the Dahlgren School and the Ag. School in Crookston, MN. He farmed all his life in the Red River community with his brother Vincent.

Verne married Violet Peterson in 1951; they raised three daughters, Becky (Dennis) Griffin, Janna (Craig) Affeldt and Deb (Scott) Pearson. He is survived by his wife, daughters/sons-in-law, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Verne was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Verne was a life-long member of Grace/Red River Church.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, Hallock.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock.

Visitation will be at the church for one hour before services on Saturday.
