Benjamin P. Brumm, 73, of 1219 Walker St. died Wednesday November 3, 1999 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Brumm was born March 29, 1926 in Mansfield to Gottfried Brumm and Marie Feiller who were both from the German Settlement of Franzfeldt. Benjamin was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II and was a member of VFW Post #9943. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Reinhart L. Brumm of Mansfield; one son, Michael A. Brumm of Ashland,; one stepdaughter, Diane Balliet of Florida; three step sons; two grandchildren, Michael B. Brumm of Columbus and Paul A. Brumm of Cincinnati; eight step-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Brumm of Mansfield; and two sisters, Marie Dinger of Lexington; and Margaret Wells of Fredericktown. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Flora Brumm; four brothers, John, Henry, Phillip and Godfried; and four sisters, Martha, Dorothy, Barbara and Katie. There will be no calling hours or funeral services held at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Burial will be held at a later date.
