Mrs. Gladys Boatman Ashburn, 83, of Bluff Point died Saturday, January 20, 1996.
She was the widow of Zack Ashburn and a lifetime member of Bluff Point United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ashburn was preceded in death by her only sister, Ethel B. Saunders. She is survived by her daughter, Janet A. Treakle of Bluff Point; two sons, Carroll L. Ashburn of Bluff Point and Jack B. Ashburn of White Stone; two granddaughters, Gayle A. Stoneman of Richmond and Angela G. Haislip of Newport News and one great granddaughter, Reva Shayne Smith of Newport News.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Kilmarnock. The Rev. M. P. White and Donald Warwick officiated. Pallbearers were Ryland Gaskins, Tom Purcell. Will Saunders, Jr., Steve Hearold, Jeff Stoneman and Clarence Sadler.∼Husband ~ Zachariah Ashburn
