Missouri Thelma Ellis, 80, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Hardy, died May 23, 2002, at her home.
Born July 22, 1921, in Sharp County, she was the daughter of William Robert and Missouri Belle Pruitt Murphy. She married John Henry Ellis June 13, 1946, in Sharp County. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include a son, Danny Ellis of Rockford, Ill.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
The funeral was May 26 in the chapel of Higginbotham Funeral Home in Hardy. Burial followed in Baker Cemetery at Williford.
Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service Inc. in Hardy.
